In just a few simple steps you can create an event, add multiple price options and customize your e-tickets.

Creating an Event

  1. Hover over Event Coordinator in the naviagation menu and choose add an Event.
  2. If this is your first time using our services, you will be asked to create an account.  Once you’ve done this you will need to log in.
  3. Begin by completing the basic event information.
    1. Add an Event Title
    2. Add an Event Description. This section can include text, images, audio and/or video.
    3. Add the event dates, start and end times
    4. Upload an event image. This is not required but strongly encourages as the images will appear on the events listing page. Images must be in .png, .jpg, or .gif format.
    5. Select Event Categories. These categories have been pre-determined for you. Begin typing in the categories you would like to add and a list will appear.  If you need a category which does not appear in the list, please contact info@skiptheboxoffice.ca
    6. Select Event Tage. These tags have been pre-determined for you. Begin typing in the tags you would like to add and a list will appear.  If you need a tag  which does not appear in the list, please contact info@skiptheboxoffice.ca
    7. Add Venue Details. You can select from a list of existing venues or create your own. Begin typing the name of the venue you would like to add. If the venue does not exist, click on Create. You will then be asked to fill in details for the address, phone number, and any associated websites.
    8. Add Organizer Details. You can select from a list of existing organizers or create your own. Begin typing the name of the organizer you would like to add. If the organizer does not exist, click on Create. You will then be asked to fill in details for phone, website and email addresses. You can also add multiple organizers by click on the Add Another Organizer button.
    9. Add an Event Website. If there is a website associated website you can add it here.
  4. Begin adding your ticket options. Skip the Box Office allows you to add multiple ticket options with individual pricing, ticket capacities and e-ticket images.
    1. Being by clicking on Settings
      1. Here you can choose to enter the shared capacity for all tickets (this can be editing in the pricing options later)
      2. Select an image for your e-ticket header. Please note, images should be in .png, .jpeg, or .gif format and should be at least 1160 px wide.
      3. When you are done, click Save Settings.
    2. Next, click on + New Ticket
      1. Here you will need to give your ticket a name, i.e. General Admission, VIP, etc.
      2. Enter the price
      3. Choose the number of tickets available for this ticket category.
      4. Click on Advanced to reveal more in terms of a ticket description and start and end times for ticket sales.  If you do not enter an End Sale date and time, ticket sales will close at the start time and date of your event. This section is particularily useful if you choose to sell early bird tickets.
      5. Click, Save Ticket.
    3. To add another ticket click the + New ticket button and repeat the steps above.
  5. Once you have added all of the details and ticket options, click Submit Event and your event will be live to sell tickets.
  6. You will then see the option to View or Edit your ticket or Submit another event.
  7. If you choose to view your event, you can see how it will display to website visitors.  You can also you the Share buttons to share your event by email or on social media networks.

Monitoring your events

  1. Once you have created an event, you can monitor your ticket sales and attendees, by going to the Menu and choosing Event Coordinator – My Events
  2. This section will display a list of all the events you’ve created.
  3. In this area, you can choose to View, Edit or Delete your event. You can also view Attendee and Sales Reports.
  4. In the Attendees section, you also have the option to print, email or export a copy of the attendees’ list.
    1. These lists can be used at your event to check attendees in or you can choose to use our Skip the Box Office  App to scan the QR codes from the e-tickets. This will automatically mark the attendee as checked in.
